A Family Legacy

We first met James Jordan when he supported a St Andrews First Aid Charity auction prize that we donated to them for their Christmas 2017 fundraising dinner. The prize was to create a bespoke tartan.

Over the months that followed, what was one design, became two. We created for James and his family their very own family tartan and with a slight alteration we created a personal one for James also. Using their personal story as a family and that of their immediate family we set to work on a striking blue based designed. As the family home is now in Cornwall, yellow and black had to feature in their family design of choice.

Having woven a series of cloths in both designs for James at our Highland mill, it has been such a pleasure to create for them a range of soft interiors for their family home. In addition to that the gents of the family are all equipped with a stock of neck ties and hand-sewn traditional kilts. All with a private label, marking a series of long lasting family heirlooms for the generations that are yet to come.

You can view the official registration of their family tartan at The Scottish Register of Tartans by clicking here and the personal tartan for James here.
